Apple Chips




Looking for a crunchy snack or a substitute for French Frys.  Try this healthy treat:)

Apple Chips

  • 2 Apples
  • 1 bowl of water, with 1/2 squeezed lemon
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar

Slice apples thin, put immediately into bowl of water with lemon juice.  This will keep that apples from browning.  Preheat oven for 200 degrees F.  Bake for approx 1 hour in oven.  Don’t rush this process or try to use a hotter heat, the apple chips will not come out as well if rushed.


Caramelized Apple Wedges

  • 2 C. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 2 T. DF Butter
  • dried Rosemary
  • 1 bowl of water
  • 1/2 of a lemon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Slice apples into wedges, place immediately into bowl of water and lemon to keep from browning.  Simmer apple cider vinegar for approx 15 – 20 minutes until it is reduced to a sticky syrup.  Remove from heat and stir in DF butter, salt and pepper.

Drizzle caramelized apple cider over apples and sprinkle with rosemary.  Bake for approx 20 minutes or until apples are caramelized.
