Tea for the Flu
As a kid I was always sick, with allergies, bronchial infections, upper respiratory infections, serious sinus infections, chronic bronchitis etc… I could never kick a cold on my own. It always seemed like I was going to the doctor for something and I was always on antibiotics. You know somethings wrong as a kid when you take antibiotics in a daily routine like its a vitamin!
Recently the typical winter valley flu went around town. Two weeks passed of people sick around me and… wow I’m not getting sick? Usually, I am the first sick. Near the end of the third week of everyone being sick, I catch the flu. I thought it would have been a little off if I hadn’t gotten at least a tickle of the flu.
This is my first time sick after being off of gluten and dairy! This was also my first time being sick with not having to go to the doctor for antibiotics. I was out for the count for about 3 or 4 days but after a week I was up and running again. The best news is, this is the first time ever in my life not needing some kind of medical assistance when being sick!!! Coincidence, I think not. Its amazing how much stronger my immune system feels being off of gluten and dairy
This tea is something I learned from two Swedish brothers and two amazing farmer’s from Georgia!!! It’s simple and easy to make, and even better if you have fresh herbs from the garden!!! Boil hot water and add tea ingredients for some home made tea: Garlic cloves, or crushed garlic, lemon, rosemary, mint, and grated ginger, add spices or dip a tea bag for added flavor! I drank this every day while sick, and it always made me feel better. If anything it will keep people away from the garlic breath
