MSG
Facts
- MSG is not an allergy it is an intolerance or sensitivity (allergy’s involve an antibody response from the immune system) (Allergy Vs. Intolerance)
- MSG is a chemical that causes neuro transmitters to fire in your tongue and brain
- It is a drug used to manipulate a response in the body
- Occurs naturally in seaweed
- Sometimes known as the “Chinese restaurant syndrome”
- MSG causes an insulin response normally a response set off by sugar. And MSG isn’t a sugar. The (MSG induced) insulin produced by your pancreas tells the cells in your body to absorb sugar. Within in 1 -2 hours your body/brain will have a response thinking its hungry and needs more sugar (really you don’t)
