Homemade Chai
I absolutely love Chai tea. I usually purchase Oregan Chai Tea form the store and mix it at home myself. Mixing it yourself you can get 5 x the enjoyment rather then getting a 1 x enjoyment from a coffee shop, Or say 5 x the money. Recently I cam along a Vanilla-Chai Banana Smoothie Recipe, and thought I would try it in a hot Chai Tea. It turned out absolutely fabulous. Take almond milk and simmer with black tea (approx 10 minutes), I used meditative time from Yogi teas, it worked great. Take 1 Tbsp of chai mixture stir into simmering pot. Sprinkle Cinnamon on Top and you have hot Chai Tea.
Chai Recipe
1/4 Tsp Ground Ginger
1/4 Tsp Nutmeg
1/4 Tsp Cardamon (ground)
1/8 tsp White Pepper
1/4 Tsp Cloves (ground)
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
This is the perfect tea for a cold spring day when it’s still snowing in May here in Idaho. Which led me to gardening inside awaiting for when the frost and snow melts off to grow food outside.
Sprinkle with Cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg on top… and Enjoy!!!
