Gatorade and Flame Retardant

Sarah Kavanagh, 15 year old volleyball player recently started an online campaign against Gatorade.  Gatorade has been using a common ingredient called “BVO”.  Also, known as Brominated Vegetable Oil.  BVO keeps the ingredients and color from separating.  However, BVO is banned in Europe, UK, and Japan.  Not to mention that BVO is labeled as a Flame Retardant.  With the influence of Sarah’s Campaign she has gathered 200,000 signatures to petition against Gatorade.  Gatorade has assured that they will be removing BVO from their product.
